- Constructed with traditional materials and techniques (including Green Oak timber frame construction).
- Surface water attenuation via a central amenity pond.
Listed Building in Conservation Area
- Conversion of a listed building into 5 flats and one maisonette.
- This important listed building at the centre of a Conservation Area was in a poor state of repair.
- The Practice worked with the Local Authority Conservation and Planning Officers to agree the detailed design of the scheme.
- Although the applications were initially refused by the planning committee, appeals against the refusal of planning permission and listed building consent were allowed.
- Detailed working drawings were produced involving significant structural alterations to building and Building Regulations approval was obtained.
- The building is being restored to a high standard and nearing completion.
